New Music Group (Familar Faces)

According to new reports, R&B singers Tamia, Deborah Cox, and Kelly Price have formed their own female group named “TDK”.

The man behind the group is producer Shep Crawford (Whitney Houston).

“My goal was to highlight the amazing talents individually, while blending them together to unite for this mega project. This is a unique union that will provide the music you have come to expect from these three superstars,” said Crawford.

The trio are currently working on their debut album “The Queen Project”, which in addition to Shep Crawford will feature production from Babyface (Toni Braxton, Monica), R. Kelly, Raphael Saadiq (Kelis, Joss Stone) and Warren Campbell (Mary J, Kanye West).

“I’m so excited to work with these ladies because I’m a fan first,” Tamia said. “It is fun and we have a really good time together. There’s something special here musically and we have a genuine bond.”

Cox added: “I fee the same way. It’s really the most exciting project I’ve been a part of. We’re going to be raising the bar just a tad. It’s great to work with likeminded individuals. We have the same sentiments as singers, mothers and wives!”

Their debut album is due for release early 2010, and the group will give their first performance on October 10th at the Circle Of Sisters Expo in NYC.
