Drake Speaks out on Rumors

Drake has addressed the statement by Kia Shine that Kia owns 25% of “Best I Ever Had” and that Kia’s his ghostwriter. Drake posted on his site that it’s distasteful of an artist to lay claim publicly to something that’s not really theirs. And he only borrowed a Kia sample, Kia doesn’t own a damn thing.

Kia struck back on Shade 45 this morning saying it was a quiet secret and he’s not bragging about anything. His check from the song speaks volumes though he says. Womp womp.

Does Drake Write or is it a Ghost?

The music world is really talking. "The Best I ever had" just won a BMI writing award. The problem is Drake didn't win it. Writer Kia Shine won it. So the question is.. Does Drake have a ghost writer......? Congrats to KIA SHINE ON THE WIN....

UPDATE: Byron Wright (in the pic above with Kia Shine) says that Kia Shine is not a “ghost writer” for Drake. He won awards for the “Best I Ever Had” record because there was a sample in “Best I Ever Had” of another record Kia Shine and Lil Wayne wrote on. Kia did help to co-write “Best I Ever Had” though
